This is a meetup for Scala enthusiasts in the Santa Barbara area. We welcome everyone from newbies to experts. Meetups will hopefully cover a variety of topics ranging from the Scala language, to related frameworks (such as Play and Lift), to more philosophical discussions about the benefits and pitfalls of functional programming as a concept. Start with a talk on a different topic each meetup, and go into Q/A, with lightning talks to follow, ending with a social hangout.
